We have heard that content is king ever since the dawning of the commercial Internet. We hear it because it makes sense and, for the most part, is completely true. Sure there are other techniques and tactics to get someone to a website but sites don’t convert if the content on the site stinks.

You can get a site ranked because of incredible link building efforts but when the visitor gets to the site and the content doesn’t match the ranking expectation (in other words most people think a top ranked site by Google should be a good well written and well thought out site) then all that effort is for naught.

Maybe it’s the small clothing store you own and operate every day where your blood, sweat, tears and dreams are quickly going down the drain because your stuff is great but no one can find you because your location is lousy.

Whatever the case, most of you may not realize how very important social media is to your business or product. After all, when was the last time you picked up a yellow pages to look up a product or saw an ad on TV and was like “By golly, I need to go out and visit that business.”

Why Email May Be Your Best Campaign Tactic

Every morning I do something which you will probably find surprising for a marketer: I unsubscribe to emails. More than that, I actively block senders of unwanted emails and routinely delete undesired emails before I even start reading those that I do. You might wonder why it is that I get so much email I don’t want in the first place … and the main reason is that I still actively sign up to try new sites and get new marketing offers by email. How To Promote Your Small Business Through Facebook

Facebook has done it again. Last week, Facebook was again the most visited website in the US – toppling Google from the top spot.

A report out by Experience Hitwise details that 7.07% of all internet visits during the week ended 13th March were to Facebook. Google by comparison received 7.03%. While the percentages might seem low – the traffic is phenomenal.
